Here are 4 tips to have perfect winter training for marathons.
Combine indoor and outdoor training
Devote double the time of indoor training to outdoor training. This will help your body regulate and maintain healthy temperatures and get accustomed to dynamic conditions.
Smartly use the treadmill
During indoor training on treadmill, maintain a constant pace instead of a racing heart beat. To help get acclamatised to inclines, start with a flat surface and change the incline.
Get the right outfit
Wear training gear that doesn’t retain moisture so that you remain comfortable throughout the training.
Eat right
Don’t skip breakfast. Have a significant portion of fibre in your diet including oatmeal. Supplement it with fruits, eggs and nuts. Consider salad with soup containing enough protein and carbohydrates. For electrolytes, have tea with honey and a pinch of salt. Have water regularly.
